Financial Highlights
Whilst the primary objective of the PA is to build and support the RGS community this is partly achieved by raising funds to provide direct financial support to boys, clubs and societies under the management and guidance of the Sponsorship and Grants Committee.
We have been working hard to promote the Sponsorship to boys and more than trebled the value of awards in 2005 from £1,288 to £3,900 in 2006. We were also very pleased to contribute £333 to the Alex Ewart Fund raised specifically for this cause at the Quiz Night.
The Christmas Dinner and Dance and the Grand Draw remain our most important fund raising activities raising nearly 70% of our total contribution to funds in 2006.
On the cost side we had an exceptional item in 2006 investing £2500 in the core software for this website and obviously we hope that this will significantly improve our service to parents and prove to be worthwhile over many years to come.
The PA Treasurer is one of the Committee Officers and the accounts are independently examined annually and presented at the AGM. The 2006 accounts are available here.
